I seem to have started a yearly tradition of buying a bulb or two in Feburary and forcing them to bloom indoors to help combat the grey winter blues.
Last year I forced a beautiful white Hyacinth to grow in time for Easter. In 2015 I grew some pink ones (here they are when they started growing) when we were painting our living room blue. This year, to mix things up, I decided to grow a series of mini Daffodils. They just bloomed in full this week, brining a tiny hint of spring forward.
As with the past year’s Hyacith’s, when they are finished, they will get re-planted in our garden to bloom again next Spring.
