When I lived in Chicago I used to give tours of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House. Unfortunately it was closed on the days when I could have made a visit, so instead we escaped the city and visited his home and studio and Unity Temple in leafy Oak Park. A visit to see Chicago’s historical architectural highlights wouldn’t be complete without seeing some FLW.
Notice the bathroom sink photo with the vase. This is a clever detail where the window is positioned at right angles in a niche so as to let light into the room while maintaining privacy. Nice.
