Grand Hall Hearth

When we got a new hearth stone installed for the front reception room, we also got one put into the Grand Hall, which was in an equally poor state as you can see from the front photo.   Here it is with the walls painted, and the carpet removed.  The floorboards aren’t in quite as good condition in this room as they are in the front room, but will do just fine for now!  The plan is to live with the exposed brickwork for at least the year, and then for a change consider white washing or painting it white. For now I like the warmth and texture that it brings to the room. (Thanks again Jon Meddings for doing such a great job!)
