Lavender

So we think that the lavender growing in our garden is the common English Lavender variety – Lavandula angustifolia. Most of the flowers are now spent,  so I wasn’t sure whether it needed cutting back or dead heading before the winter.  The internet tells me we are to do nothing now between autumn and spring or it could harm the plant. We can apparently harvest the flowers for drying in the summer which will encourage new growth.

Any further advice or tips?
